Operating remotely UAVs and Robotic Surgery

Andy Jeffrey OBE, MA joined the RAF in 1986 and has achieved remarkable feats in his field since. Andy completed staff tours in the ISTAR procurement area of the MOD before returning to II(AC) Squadron as deputy squadron commander during which he successfully led the Queen’s Birthday Fly Past. Returning to the MOD as its UAV expert, Andy drafted the highly acclaimed UK UAV Road Map and Airspace Plan. He then went on to be the first Officer Commanding of the reformer 39 Squadron, and developed the aircraft’s multi-mission capabilities – for which he was awarded his OBE in 2010. In 2011, Andy joined UTAS in the business development role responsible for the marketing of the DB-110 sensor.
