Arthur Gillis is Managing Director of Protea Hotels, the largest hotel group in Africa, with over 100 establishments in 9 counties. Arthur has been with Protea since the Company started in 1984. He has also been extremely active in all facets of the hospitality industry in Southern Africa, serving as Vice President of the Hospitality Industry Training Board and Member of the South African Tourism Board Standards Committee. Outside of the hospitality industry he is a trustee of The Drug Education for our National Trust and a member of the Cape Town Chapter of the Young Presidents Organisation, which consists of CEO's of corporations ranging from 50 employees to over 50,000.
