Cardiac Intensivist & Patient Safety
Geoff Bird MD, cardiac intensivist and Patient Safety Officer for the Cardiac Center and Cardiac ICU at ChildrenÕs Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), attended medical school at Georgetown University, Washington, DC and was then resident and Chief Resident of pediatrics at St. ChristopherÕs Hospital for Children. He trained in Cardiology and Critical Care Medicine at CHOP, and Cardiac ICU/Extracorporeal Support at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He has been an attending consultant in the Cardiac ICU at CHOP since 2004, and serves currently as Director of Operations and Associate Medical Director. He has worked with the Risky Business team since 2007.
