Consultant in Paediatric Infectious Diseases
Dr Bamford completed medical training at University of Cambridge and University College London in 2001. He completed training in paediatric infectious diseases at Great Ormond Street, St Mary’s Hospital and Evelina London Children’s Hospital.
He was awarded an NIHR research training fellowship and completed a PhD on paediatric HIV immunology at Imperial College London in collaboration with the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health. He is a member of the executive committee of the UK Children’s HIV Association (CHIVA), and sits on the steering group of the National Survey of HIV in Pregnancy and Childhood (NSHPC).
