We all need to have those dreaded difficult conversations with “special” colleagues. Learn from Cathy MacDonald, an experienced hostage negotiator and crisis manager in how to plan for, approach, listen and structure such conversations and deal with confrontation in the moment to get the best out of teamwork.

Cathy has years of practical experience behind her, coupled with her responsibility for training and developing negotiator teams with Police Scotland.

During the class, she will share her novel approaches to understanding and developing good communication in stressful situations. From setting strong foundations to learning how to listen differently, her teachings can be applied instantly to a number of circumstances not only in the work place but throughout everyday life.

The evening will contain live interaction elements, along with presentations, video clips, small group tasks, discussions and a Q&A session. You will also receive a workbook containing key learning points and takeaways from the evening.
